What Happened on Day ONE

For the first few days of the detox you may experience some uncomfortable symptoms. Everyone is different and it really depends on how much caffeine, soft drinks. processed foods, sugar and not so great foods you may have in your diet. Not gonna lie, the first two days may be a little uncomfortable. It is recommended you start the first two days at the end of the work week/weekend so that you can be gentle with yourself and your body.

For me, yesterday wasn’t bad. I did experience a little headache later in the day that I attributed to a caffeine headache. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I do drink black and green teas throughout my day. Black tea has caffeine, so I knew right away that headache was from my switch over to the decaffeinated versions. The headache wasn’t terrible and I was able to move through my evening.

Core Restore Handbook

I followed the Core Restore Handbook for DAY ONE and it told me exactly how to whip up the nutrient dense protein smoothies. One day one, you have two smoothies (morning and evening) with two scoops of Core Support powder. You can also change it up and do four smoothies a day with one scoop instead of two. Each scoop packs 15 grams of protein. So, if you do a two scoop smoothie you will consume 30 grams of protein in one smoothie. I found it very filling and it did carry me through until the evening. On days one and two, you are only having the protein smoothies and vitamin support. No food. Real, unprocessed food comes back into play on day three.

If morning and evening smoothies seem too far apart, splitting them up into 4 smoothies a day works well too and may work for your active day. I may try the 4 smoothies a day option today. It’s also important to consume at least 6-8 glasses of filtered water throughout the day. Again, I’m a huge black tea drinker throughout my day, switching over to decaf and all water wasn’t hard, but I did get that little headache towards the end of the day. When I start something, I’m all in, so I drank a 1.5 liter throughout my day. Drinking lots of water during this first 7 day phase helps you flush out toxins. But, it also keeps you running to the bathroom. So, staying home or close to home the first two days is convenient.

How I’m feeling Today

Today, I feel a little lighter. I have increased energy and experienced a little less morning brain fog. The headache is gone. I’m ready to dive into today.

What's in the Box

What’s in the BOX

What I appreciate about this system is that everything is in the box. The handbook is thorough, broken down into days, tells you exactly what to do and is straight up honest what you will experience. As the days pass, I will share more about the handbook, but know that it is chock full of grocery lists (YES, YOU EAT REAL FOOD), recommendations, recipes and advice. It’s simple, easy to read and follow. It’s NOT HARD.

The protein powder, multivitamin supplements and a blender paddle come in the box as well. Everything you need, simple!
